Becca Thompson Daniel grew up in Mt. Pleasant, Texas. She began her dance training at seven years of age at Chrystal Phiffer's School of Dance. She continued her studies of ballet, tap, and jazz even while performing with the Tiger Dolls of Mt. pleasant High School. After graduating, Becca attended Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas. She began teaching dance classes at a local studio. Within a year, at the very young age of nineteen, she was the sole teacher at the sister location in Heber Springs. While attending college, she also became a member of the National Dance Exercise Trainers Association and taught fitness classes for Searcy Athletic Club. Becca graduated from Harding with a degree in Elementary Education. After returning home and teaching at Chapel Hill, she also taught classes for Julie Taylor at Mt. Pleasant Dance Company. Becca bought the business from Julie and she and her husband built a beautiful new facility. She has now been sharing her love of dance with young children for over 23 years and can't imagine doing anything else.
Sabrina began dancing when she was only six years old. At eight she began focusing on ballet while attending Martha Rosella Texas Civic Ballet. She has a strong technical background from Paula Moreland in Garland, Texas. She attended dance classes at SMU and participated in various festivals around the Dallas Area. At age 14, Sabrina was chosen as a principal dancer for the Dallas Metropolitan Dance Company. On scholarship, she furthered her dance training for two summers with the New York City Ballet. While in New York, she has also attended dance classes at the American Ballet Theater and Joffry Ballet. Sabrina holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Therapeutic Recreation. Over the years she has taught aerobics, dance, swimming and water aerobics. Sabrina has been teaching Pointe classes at the Dance Company since 2005
Martha was born in Texarkana, but raised in Mount Pleasant. She started dancing when she was 9 years old. She trained in Hip Hop , Cheer and Tumbling for 8 years. She also trained in Ballet, Tap, Jazz and Pom for 7 years. Martha has been teaching cheer and tumbling for the last 3 years at the studio and assisting with Hip Hop. This year she will continue to teach cheer and tumbling, but will also be the new Hip Hop teacher.
Jenn grew up in Hugh Springs, Texas. After graduating high school, she went to SFA to continue her education. She later transferred to Texas A & M Texarkana where she got her degree in education. She is currently the Director of Preschool and Women's Ministries at First Baptist Church. Jenn twirled all through the years growing up and into college where she received numerous awards and honors. She has been teaching twirling at The Dance Company for the last 7 years. Jenn loves to share her twirling talent with her students and loves to see them grow throughout the time she has with them.
Peyton has been dancing for 18 years. She is trained in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, hip hop and pointe. She is currently attending NTCC to complete her associates degree in general studies and plans to transfer to UNT in Denton to pursue a degree in education and minor in dance. She enjoys teaching dance because dance has always been a passion of hers. Now, she is blessed to be able to share her passion with other young students and watch them grow and develop as dancers.
Alexis began dancing at the age of 3 at The Dance Company. She trained in ballet, tap, jazz and lyrical, cheer and tumbling. Alexis graduated from MPHS in 2016 and recently graduated and received her Associates in Nursing at NTCC. She is currently continuing her edcuation at UT Tyler to get her Bachelors Degree in Nursing. Alexis loves to dance and more than that loves to help others develop a love for dance and all things related.
